வலம்புரி சங்கிற்கு லட்சுமி சங்கு என்ற பெயரும் உண்டு..
இந்த சங்கை முதலில் சிறிது பாலில் 1/2 மணி நேரம் வைத்திருந்து, பின் கங்கை நீர் அல்லது சுத்தமான நீரால் கழுவி துணியால் துடைத்து எடுக்கவும். ஒரு வெள்ளி அல்லது செம்பு அல்லது பித்தளை தட்டில் மிகச் சிறிது மஞ்சள் தூள் கலந்த பச்சை அரிசி பரப்பி அதன் மீது இந்த வலம்புரி சங்கின் நுனி கிழக்கு முகமாக இருக்குமாறு வைத்து பூஜை அறை அல்லது பூஜை செல்ஃபில் வைக்கவும்.
ஒரு பூ அல்லது மிகச்சிறிய அளவு நீர் எப்போதும் சங்கில் இருக்கவேண்டும்.
