A brief Bio-data: Amitabh’s full name is Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan. He was born on 11th Oct 1942 in Allahabad. (source: Wikipedia ) His father was Dr.Harivansh Rai Bachchan, who was a well-known Hindi poet. Though his last-name was Srivastava, he adopted the pen-name Bachchan, under which he has published all his work. It is with this last name that Amitabh debuted in films, and, for all public purposes, it has become the surname of all members of the current family. But he is popularly called as Big-B.
Early life and career: In his twenties, Amitabh gave up a job as freight broker for the shipping firm, Bird and Co., based in Calcutta, to pursue a career in acting. Starting from the “angry young man” Hindi film he has starred in more than 180 Indian films spread over to four decades. He won the National film award for the best new comer for the film Saat Hindustani. He won a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for his good performance in the film Anand (1970) in which he co-starred with Rajesh Kanna. He started starring in many films like Reshma Aur Shera (1971) and Parwaana (1971) guddi, Bawarchi, Bombay to Goa (comedy role), Zanzeer, Abhimaan (1973) and Namak Haram. including Deewaar (1975), Sholay (1975) , Trishul (1978), Muqaddar Ka Sikander (1978), Don (1978), Kasme Vaade (1978), Kaala Patthar (1979) and Lawaaris (1981) Chupke Chupke (1975), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) and Namak Halaal (1982). He was also successful as a romantic lead, with particularly notable performances in Kabhie Kabhie (1976) Silsila (1981) and Coolie (1983) which was also a box office hit.
Accident during the sub period of Moon: He was critically injured in 1982 when he was acting in the film coolie. At this time he was running his Major period of Saturn (12th lord) and sub period of Moon(6th lord placed in the 9th house being the detrimental house for his Ascendant) and both this planets are aligned in 6X8 placement.
